Tidal Programming Limited trading as Tidal was founded in 1992 and is the IT consultancy of William Shier.

Since that time, the company has been providing professional system design and programming services to some the world’s leading businesses.

  

William Shier

Mr. Shier works from his base in Fedden Village and spends most of his time travelling and working at client sites across the UK. His career spans over 35 years in the IT industry in various capacities as a programmer, business analyst, project leader/manager, trainer and consultant. His experience has been in IBM mainframe and Windows environments, using assembly, COBOL, and Java languages, DB2 and Oracle databases, and VisualAge Websphere Internet platforms.

The services provided by Tidal Programming are derived from working in many different industries and with many different technologies. Our solutions exemplify the results of the in-depth training and the many years of experience required to provide a professional service.
William Shier

Extensive experience implementing finance, insurance, manufacturing bill of material, retail supply chain, customer relationship management and criminal law enforcement systems.

This practical experience is founded on a formal education at UCLA School of Business Administration, with a concentration in Information Technology and Accountancy.

Technical skills are kept current by attending courses and seminars for several weeks every year.
